Use the Northern Essex Community College (NECC) Library for:
Copies of required textbooks are available on reserve in the NECC Lawrence Campus Library in the Dimitry Building. All materials are 2-hour loans, library use only. Ask at the circulation desk to borrow these materials.
Use the Regis Library for online access to subscription databases. To access a database from off-campus (away from the Weston campus, for example when on the NECC campus or at home), use your Moodle username and password.
Students must have a library card to borrow books or other physical items from the NECC library. With one library card, you can enjoy the best of two library systems. You will automatically have a NECC library card number and password upon course registration.
Regis @ NECC students have access to the items catalogued in the NECC library, as well as those from the the North Of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE) network of libraries, of which NECC is a member. NOBLE is a cooperative effort of 28 area libraries founded to improve library service to their members.
If NECC does not have a book or other item you need, it’s possible that it may be available through the Commonwealth Catalog system. You can request it through the Commonwealth Catalog
and have it delivered to you at NECC or your home library in the Noble Network. This makes it easy for you to get what you need at the location most convenient for you.
Can’t find the book or article at NECC or through the Commonwealth Catalog? Contact the Regis Library Interlibrary Loan Service. See the box to the right, Option 3, with full information on how to borrow hard-to-find items through this service.
Sometimes you will find that neither NECC nor the Commonwealth Catalog has the book or article you need for your research. We can arrange to borrow articles and books from other libraries when this happens. This is called Interlibrary Loan.
