Abstract:

Fluid and electrolytes are two topics that will follow you your entire nursing career. The subject starts with your first nursing class whether it’s Foundations of Nursing or Professional Nursing. I have dealt with this topic in every semester of nursing school. Now that I am in my preceptorship fluid and electrolytes are always an important topic for my patients. This book breaks down the topics in an easier way for the student to understand. Some of the electrolyte’s imbalances have similarities that are hard to differentiate but this book can help with that.

Patient assessments are somethings that you will be doing your entire nursing career. While going through this program, you will notice that Assessments are one of your nursing priority’s. This book provides visuals for you to see instead of just reading about it in black and white ink.

Abstract:

It is no secret that pharmacology is a hard subject. There are a lot of medications that will be given on nursing exams and there isn’t enough time to learn them all. I found that using pneumonic and pictures really help me with pharmacology. Finding ways to group contraindications, precautions and side effects are an easier way to you with learning the medications. I personally used this book and I loved it. While taking exams I could remember things from the book that would help me with the medication questions. I definitely recommend this book.
