Faculty Guide to the Regis Library

Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, and the Finucane O'Sullivan Institute for Learning

Finding a Specific Journal

  • It is easy to determine if Regis carries a specific journal or other publication.  There are two ways to do this:
  •
    • From the Library Home Page, click the box called Journal Titles
    • OR
From PowerSearch, you can go to the tool bar at the top and find Publications.
    •
    •
      • Enter the title of the publication to find a list of publications with that name.  OR enter a partial title or keywords to find titles with those words. You may then limit your search to within a specific publication, if you choose.
      • Note that dates of coverage vary.  Many publications have a full-text delay which may be anything from one month to several years.

The Chronicle of Higher Education

Regis has a print subscription to The Chronicle of Higher Education. The Chronicle is the number one source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.  The current copy of the paper is located in the reading room of the Library.  Digital access is available for issues that are more than 30 days old through the database Academic OneFile (from Gale).  See a librarian for help.
